Terms
Terms of Use
These terms cover how you may use this website and its content. By using the site you accept them. They are written to be simple at this formation stage and will be expanded as the Initiative is formally established.
Using this site
This website is provided for information and educational purposes about The Ọmọlúàbí Initiative. Please use it lawfully and respectfully, and do not attempt to disrupt or misuse it.
Content ownership
The name, emblem, written content and design of The Ọmọlúàbí Initiative belong to the Initiative unless stated otherwise. Yoruba proverbs and cultural heritage themselves belong to the Yoruba people and the wider cultural commons; we present them for education, with attribution and review, and claim no ownership over the tradition.
Educational use
You are welcome to learn from and share this material for personal, family, classroom and community education, with acknowledgement. Please do not present the material as your own or use it to misrepresent the Initiative.
Cultural review caveat
Yoruba text on this site — including proverbs, tone marks and translations — is under active cultural and language review. Entries in the Òwe Ìwà Register are largely candidate material and are marked with a review status.
Reliance on draft material
Because much of the cultural content is still being validated, it is provided in good faith but without guarantee of final accuracy. Please do not rely on unvalidated entries as definitive scholarly or cultural authority. We will update entries as review is completed.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the Initiative develops. For any question about these terms, contact hello@omoluabiinitiative.org.
